Avitrol Plus Praziquantel Bird Wormer Tablets – 100 Tablets
Avitrol Plus Praziquantel Bird Wormer Tablets provide individual oral treatment for common intestinal worms in caged birds over 250 g body weight.
Active constituents
- 20 mg levamisole hydrochloride per tablet (equivalent to 16.96 mg levamisole base)
- 4 mg praziquantel per tablet
Treats
Threadworm (Capillaria spp.), caecal worm (Heterakis spp.), roundworm (Ascaridia spp.), gape worm (Syngamus spp.), gizzard worm (Acuaria spp.) and tapeworm (Raillietina spp.).
Directions
Administer orally by placing the tablet in the bird’s throat:
- 250–500 g body weight: ½ tablet
- 500–750 g body weight: 1 tablet
- 750 g–1 kg body weight: 1½ tablets
Birds should not be fed for 24 hours before treatment or for 3 hours afterwards. Treat all birds in the same loft or cage and clean and disinfect the enclosure three days after treatment. Treatment during breeding or racing is not recommended. Vomiting may occur; to reduce the likelihood, do not handle birds for at least 10 minutes after treatment. Consult a veterinarian if worm problems persist.
Important: Not for use in food-producing species. Read the label fully before use. For animal treatment only.
Storage: Store below 30°C at room temperature and protect from light. Replace lid tightly after use.
